EE-5000-PLUS Controller is the brain that manages all elements of level crossings. It receives the rolling stock detection data from axle counters and manages the process of announcing through visual and acoustic signals the sequence of barriers closing. After rolling stock passes through the level crossing, the controller will manage the signals turn-off and open barriers.
The controller cabinet has a modular design and it is configurable for any operating conditions and functionality.

The primary role of the BEF-214 barrier is to safeguard the movement of vehicles and pedestrians at level crossings.
Specifically engineered with safety and durability in mind, its key feature is the gravity-powered closure mechanism. Should there be a power outage, the barrier automatically closes, ensuring the system defaults to a safe state. Its design allows operation in the extended temperature range comprehended between -40ºC and +70ºC.

To ensure the correct opening and closing of a level crossing, it is necessary to complement the barrier with a safety detection system.
ELECTRANS has developed the E-AC-214-PLUS axle counter, which allows safety detection of rolling stock. The axle counter provides information about train detection to the controller cabinet in order to activate the level-crossing barriers.
In addition, the E-AC-214-PLUS are able to determine the speed and direction of the train, thus increasing the system availability and reducing the waiting time.
